During the opening of the 2011 Grammy’s, audience were surprised by the impressive performance of Lady Gaga. She performed her latest hit single “Born this Way”, by coming out from an alien like cocoon and was surrounded by skin-dressed back-up dancers.
Lady Gaga garnered a total of three trophies for the 2011 Grammys. She won Best Female Pop Vocal Album for the Fame Monster, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Bad Romance” and Best Short Form Music Video for “Bad Romance” also.

Lady Gaga have thanked the audience after accepting the award and she was quoted as saying “”I wish that I could have been with you all tonight, but since I couldn’t, next year.” It was her first televised appearance before national audience.
Lady Gaga’s performance of Born This Way continues to be a big hit not only on the airwaves but most of all the internet. It became the top download in 21 countries simultaneously, having been considered as the world’s first download number 1.
